Hitler's Secretary
With Andre Heller
Director "Blind Spot: Hitler's Secretary"
Friday, May 30, 2003; 1:00 p.m ET
TO BE RESCHEDULED
For almost 60 years Traudl Junge kept her memories of Adolph Hitler secret. One of his private secretaries from 1942 until his suicide in 1945, she refused to discuss her story with journalists and only made brief comments. But when renowned Austrian multimedia artist, actor and musician, Andre Heller, approached her to document her story on film, she finally said yes.
Heller, also director and filmmaker, will be online Friday, May 30 at 1 p.m. ET, to talk about "Blind Spot: Hitler's Secretary" and Junge's vivid on-camera account of working for the fuhrer until his last days in his bunker as the Third Reich was collapsing around him. He dictated his final will and testament to her.

Junge died from cancer on Feb. 11, 2002 in Munich just hours after "Blind Spot" had its world premiere at the 52nd Berlin International Film Festival and just days after the publication of her memoirs, "In the Final Hours." She was 81.
"Blind Spot" is now playing at Visions Cinema|Bistro|Lounge in the District.
