A native of New York City, Lichtenstein was educated in Europe where she pursued the study of tarot and astrology. She returned to New York in 1974 and has lived in Greenwich Village ever since, dispensing advice whether requested or not.

I really hope you can answer me this time, even though I have to submit a few hours early (no computer at home). I recently had a reading by a psychic, and I'd love to see what my stars ALSO say about my life -- especially in relation to the love and romance department -- and whether my stars are in alignment with my spirit guides. I was born 8/6/56 in Del Rio, Tex. at about 2 a.m. Thank you so much for your insight! I've just endured the most ungodly 24 months.
Charlene Lichtenstein: Well let's see -
You have sun and moon in leo, mercury in virgo, venus in cancer, mars inpisces and possibly gemini rising. Generally you are a dramatic and expansive personality who loves theatrical displays of emotion and can be very generous. You have a detail-oriented mind (mercury) and are very precise when you speak. You love deeply and are very caring. You make a great parent although you are apt to worry about your family. You take action based on your emotions.
With gemini rising, you may find that new projects are going to take longer than expected to get off the ground - retro saturn is currently transiting your first house of new beginnings. Try not to get frustrated. That may be what is causing your stress. It will continue through Feb 03 at least.
Good tidings in relationships in early 03 and it will be good time to rev them up or seek new ones, especially after mid -Jan

Charlene Lichtenstein: Don't panic! The toplines I do are planet-based. It is when I start to project forward via "transiting" planets that will be off when your birthtime is off.
So in regard to your question about upcoming romance - your birthtime will impact my answer:
You have sun in sag, moon in aquarius and venus in scorpio. You seem very breezy and non-commital but when you are in love you are intense, passion and rather jealous! Possibly pisces rising which places practical virgo on the cusp of your 7th hosue of relationships. Very picky….or should I say discerning?
I don't see anything on the horizon in Jan 03 but I think things will heat up nicely in your career and since venus is entering your career house on Jan 8, look there for a possible love interest. It will be transforming (pluto). Also, once Jupiter re-directs in april, your luck will increase on the job. Who knows who is waiting there for you?

You have sun in aries, mercury in aries, venus in taurus, mars in cancer and possibly pisces rising. You are a forceful personality who is very pioneering. You are steadfast and loyal in love and rather earthy and sensual too. You are an emotional fighter and tend to run with your heart not your mind. With pisces rising, you tend to think that new things and new experieinces will bring you your goal. But this may not always be true.
January brings a great deal of activity into your career quadrant so I think your attention will be more directed there than in love.

I recently turned 28 and am in the midst of my Saturn Return (yippee). While I'm trying to wade through the Return sucessfully, I feel very lost at the moment. Nothing seems to be coming together in career or romance, and I feel that I can't commit to anything! Romances fizzle out after a few dates because I can't decide whether or not I really like the guys, a new job I started 6 months ago is not turning out to be what I thought, and now I am trying to decide if a move to D.C. in the summer is a good idea. Charlene Lichtenstein: Oh my does this EVER sound like a Saturn Return!
So you have sun in virgo, moon in scorpio, mercury in libra, venus in virgo, mars in libra and good old saturn in cancer. Possibly sag rising.
Generally you are a practical and down to earth person, not apt to pick up and relocate on a whim. You have intense and passionate emotions and can articulate in a diplomatic, harmonious and charismatic manner. When you are in love you are very careful and conservative. You are a bit discerning which is good but evenutally you should accept someone warts and all.
With sag rising not only are you grappling with your return but you are also dealing with the Pluto transit in sag which will last a few years - transformations and upheavals in new endeavors. You want to set down roots and pluto keep pulling them up. There is a greater lesson in all of this....
My advice, read more about the Return phase at www.TheStarryEye.com on the zodiascope page and continue on your course to learn what you can about what makes you tick - saturn is in your 8th house. Read up on the 8th hosue. Ultimately, you may want to get a more detailed reading - we would want to see the angles that your saturn makes to other planets in your chart.
But this is a good starting point.

Just wanted to run something by you. When I was a kid I used to have these incredible dreams about flying. I had the feeling of diving down real fast toward the trees and then gliding around real slow.
About two nights ago I had this dream that I was looking at myself sleeping. Then I dreamed that I was trying to get back into my body. But I was having a hard time doing it.
Then I went in with a kind of thud and I woke up. Every muscle was hurting and my head felt like it was spinning. Then I went back to sleep and woke up in the morning and everything was fine.
Have you every encounted this kind of stuff? Can life energy flow outside the body?
Charlene Lichtenstein: I don't know much about dream analysis but I can tell you that dreams of flying often mean that you are trying to get away from a situation that you find confining.
Out of body? I don't think so but I am sure there are those who read auras who believe that.

Pluto is transiting sag and therefore squaring your ascendant. Transformations in your career that may set you on new tracks. January sees more activity in your career - good stuff with mars (action) and venus (appreciation). You may go "the next big step" here.

Well you have sun in sunny sag, moon in libra, mercury in cap, venus in aquarius, mars in sag and possibly capricorn rising. That would place cancer on the cusp of your 7th hosue of relationships.
You are generally optimistic and happy. Emotionally you seek balance and harmony. You have a conservative and political manner of communicaion and may be afraid to voice your opinion lest you feel that you will make a mistake. As yo uget older, you will overcome this and actually sound very wise. When you are in love you may be a bit aloof and detached. Much more platonic than romantic. Hello! I was born August 30, 1972 at 11:15 a.m. in Washington, D.C. I recently started a new job which has plenty of challenges and am happy to be there on some levels, but I can't shake this feeling that I am simply not living up to my potential. A feeling that there is so much more I could be doing to contribute to the world (both spiritually and otherwise...) I'm restless! Anything in the stars about that?
Charlene Lichtenstein: Let's see - you have sun in virgo, moon in taurus, mercury in leo, venus in cancer and mars in virgo. Possibly sag rising which places virgo on the cusp of your 10th house of career.
I would say that you are careful and conservative and detailed oriented in general. You are an emotional rock and communicate in an expressive almost theatrical manner. When you love you love deeply and can be extremely caring. When you take action you are careful and precise. You keep your eye on the details.
With Virgo on the 10th house, I would say that you are a "roll up your sleeves and get to work" type of person. While I did not run your chart ont he computer, it is probably in your 10th house so your career is very very important to you. If it in not in sync, neither are you.
Well pluto, the planet of transformation, is hitting your ascendant making anything new, revolutionary and transforming. Pluto brings change where change is needed and whether we want it or not! Expect the next few years to be a time of transformation and change. Especailly so as Venus and mars enter your first house in Jan 03. I bet you will see some relirf at that time.

Yet there is a part of you that is a bit insecure - in your communications and when you want to express your love. You may be afraid of rejection. But as you get older you will overcome these insecurities and be even more successful than you ever thought in these areas.
Possibly gemini rising shich would make January a very interseting month for relationships! Pluto - planet of volcanic change is there as is venus in the 8th and mars on the 18th. Action, transofrmation and affection.

You are bright and funny and friendly with a sharp mind (and tongue!). You take cation in a careful and precise way and focus on the details. With aries rising, you may work hard for what you get in your career. You may have had hard beginnings there but you will have wonderful conlusions and can be extremely successful down the road. You are good politically and strategically in your career.
Now is not a good time to send out messages for a new job - mercury is currently retrograde and will be through the 23rd of Jan ( and even later until the shadow of the retrograde will pass - a couple of weeks later). Communications go awry and there can be misunderstandings.
So relax as best as you can and wait until Feb before you get going again.

So you have sun in Pisces, moon in pisces, mercury in pisces, venus in pisces and mars in sag. Hmmm. Well if you are not doing something creative, you just wouldn't be happy would you?
Possibly taurus rising which places all this piscean energy in your 11th house of friends and large social groups(but if I run your chart, I wonder if they would wind up in your 10th - career). As I see it in this topline, you are the quintenessential pisces - romantic, intuitive, a bit foggy and flirty and the one with the rose colored glasses. This goes for your general personality, your emotional expressions, your communication and the way you express love. And through it all, an honesty in your actions and a fair fighter.
2003? The sun enters your 10th house of career- optimisim and good opportunities abound professionally. That would be the best time to launch your work - especially after the 23rd or even early Feb. I don't mean to sound presumptuous, but how does it work? I mean, I read the horoscope in the newspaper every day and I haven't recognized any correlation to my life. How do stars and planets millions of miles away ... so far away we can barely see them in the night sky ... affect our lives? Charlene Lichtenstein: Sun sign horoscopes in the paper are not worth the paper they are printed on - they are too general and only examine the sun. They are for entertainment only.
Serious application of astrology looks at ones entire chart - all the planets and the aspects (angles) they make to each other. We all have unique charts because no one is born at the exact same time at the exact same place. It is our set of fingerprints and is what makes us unique.
Astrology works as the moon impacts the tides and electromagnetic fields impact other phenomena. And it takes a bit of an open mind and understanding as our flaws and areas of work become exposed.
That is my top - topline but I am always happy to discuss further.
