Is the media biased? Has the crusade for diversity, racial and ethnic hypersensitivity and group favoritism hindered the quality of journalism by restricting debate on such subjects as gay rights, race, affirmative action and immigration?
Author and Journalist William McGowan was online to discuss media bias and his new book "Coloring the News: How Crusading for Diversity Has Corrupted American Journalism."
McGowan in the author of "Only Man is Vile: The Tragedy of Sri Lanka" and has reported for Newsweek International and the BBC. A regular contributer to the Wall Street Journal, he is currently a fellow at the Social Philosophy and Policy Center and at the Manhattan Institute.
