Starbite of the week:
Jupiter is the planet of luck and expansiveness. Wherever it sits in our charts is where things come easily to us. Whatever sign Jupiter is in in our personal charts is how we handle our good fortune. So if Jupiter is in Scorpio (strategic and careful) in the second house of finances, I would say that money (and money management) comes easily to you and you are able to maximize its benefits. So where is Jupiter in your chart and what sign is it in??

There are many many questions waiting so let's get started!

Please remember to include as much of your birth information as possible (birthdate, time and place) for personal chart questions.

USA: Last week someone sent you a question about Bill and Hillary Clinton. You said you would do some research and get back to us this week.

What do you see with their charts - will they get divorced? Very interested....
Thanks.

Charlene Lichtenstein: I did have a chance to examine both Bill’s and Hillary’s charts and here is what I see as far as overall compatibility:

Bill has sun in leo (His general personality is sunny, dramatic and optimistic. He loves an audience.) in the 11th house of friends and large groups (he is happiest around large groups and friends) , venus in libra (He is very charming in love and very attractive physically) in the first house of new beginnings (especially in first impressions) and moon in Taurus (he expresses his emotions in a rich sensual manner) in the 8th house of sex (‘nuf said!). He is an absolute charmer who knows how to turn on the charisma to get what he wants. Bill’s 7th house of marriage contains the vertex (a power point) but no planets. I see this as that partnerships give him great great power but they do not motivate him as much as other areas of his life.

Hillary has her sun in scorpio (passionate, intense and strategic) in the 5th house of creativity. (She is a creative and strategic person) She has her venus in scorpio (she is passionate and jealous in love) also in the fifth house. (I bet she has creative, imaginative ways of demonstrating her love – games and treats.) Moon in pisces in the 10th house (emotionally she is soft and vulnerable and she may become emotionally involved with someone not worth it who can be deceptive. Her 7th house of marriage is ruled by Sagittarius, the bachelor sign, and has no planets in it. It is not as great a motivator for her as are other areas of her life.

Now I have to stop a second and say that if you gave me Mr and Mrs “X”, rather than the Clintons, I would tell you the exact same things about their charts.

In sum, they are not the best matched couple. None of their love and emotion planets make any aspect to each other – they are like two separate solar systems that don’t connect. That is not to say that it is doomed to failure. What it means is that they will both have to work extra hard to make the marriage last. Will they both put in the effort? It is up to them. Stayed tuned….

Albuquerque, N.M.: Hi, I really enjoy your show. I know that you have said you do not predict death in a person's chart, but do you ever see clues retrospectively? My father died unexpectedly March 12, 1977. His birthday was Nov. 2, 1950, most likely Sagittarius rising. (He was very friendly, loved to travel, musical, and very protective and possessive too, but that would make sense since he wasn't born during the time of Sag. You've been an excellent teacher!) Thanks for addressing my question.

Charlene Lichtenstein: Thank you for an intriguing question.

There are those that feel that they can predict death in a chart. I don't because it creates a terrible state of mind (I know from personal experience because a friend of mine who dabbles in Vedic -predictive- astrology told me I would die at age 63 and believe me, as much as you don't want to believe it, it does stay with you for years and years -he told me when I was 19!)

That being said, 20/20 hindsight is not as mind altering. I would need your father's time of birth however to see if in fact he did have Sag rising. He might have had sag naturally placed on the cusp of the 9th house of travel. So we would need a birth time to be sure.

Whenever I see hard aspects (square, conjunct or opposition) to transiting Uranus (surprises) Neptune (foggy thinking) or Pluto (dramatic changes) to certain planets or houses in the chart, I get concerned. Death? Maybe Maybe not but something unpleasant.

Send me his birth time and I will run the chart and see if I see anything.

I am so sorry to hear about your loss.

Deep South: Hi Charlene,

I submitted a question about relocation last week and you told me to send two or three places that I might like to relocate. I have been seriously looking for a new job for about half a year. How about the Washington, D.C. metro area, Dallas, Tex., or Southern California? My birthdate is 5/30/59, 4:55 a.m. in New Orleans, La. By the way, you were correct in saying that I like a work environment where I can meet new people but the harmony of the workplace is the most important issue for me. Thanks.

Charlene Lichtenstein: Okay, I'll tell you what I will do - I will run all three locations for you and give you may studied answer next week once I see all the charts.
Thanks for your patience.
SHould I use LA or San Diego for Southern California?

Aspen Hill, Md.: My sister (8/6/62, Philadelphia, Pa., don't know the time) has been going through some stressful times lately, with our brother's death, a separation and protracted divorce proceedings, and a new boyfriend, all within a few months. Do you have any idea when things might settle down for her?

Charlene Lichtenstein: Let's see:
She has sun in leo, moon in libra, mercury in leo, venus in virgo and mars in gemini. It would help to have her birth time so I can see what signs are on her cusps.

One observation is that Pluto, the planet of transformations is making a good aspect to both her sun (general personality) and mercury (how she thinks). Dramatic changes that are ultmately good. Maybe the divorce and new boyfriend?

But Saturn, the planet of lessons and hard work is squaring these planets too which makes for extra stress and a whole host of "life lessons".

Saturn will move into Gemini in APril so she should see some relief. Tell her to hold on and go with all the tumult - Pluto moves more slowly and has greater long term impact and its energies to her chart are good.

Miami, Fla.: I know you have previously commented on the possibility of Bush not completing his term due to being sworn in at a bad time. Can you comment, however, on VP Cheney. If anyone, he seems to be the likely one unable to complete his term, it's Cheney.

Finally, can you comment on Secretary of State Powell and how he will fair this term. Would it ever be "in the stars" for him to become president some day.

Charlene Lichtenstein: Good questions. Let me see if I can find copies of their charts anywhere. Cheney is particularly secretive about these things but maybe I can delve a bit more.

Please check back with these wonderful questions next week - I hope to have an answer for you.

New York, N.Y.: What can I expect from the June, 2001 solar eclipse conjunct my natal moon in Cancer in the third house? I have a moon-Venus conjunction in Cancer in the third square a Jupiter-Uranus conjunction in Libra in the sixth. D.O.B. 8/8/69, 10:28 p.m., New Haven, Conn.

Charlene Lichtenstein: Ah an expert!
Eclipses are where we become more emotionally involved than we need to. We overreact and act too quickly. We don't think things out clearly.

So I see some very emotional (moon) discussions (3rd house) maybe involving love (venus) setting off problems at work (6th house) or hurting you health (6th house) with excess stress.

See how easy? My advice, don't go overboard and overreact during the eclipse. Wait wait wait until ten days after it passes before you speak up.

Los Angeles, Calif.: I think that I have met my soulmate. I'd like to know what the stars think about us. I was born 4/29/1972 and he was born 9/28/74.

Cheers.

Charlene Lichtenstein: Soulmate? Let's have a look -

For one thing, you are in the middle of your Saturn Return, a three year period (between 27-30) where life is particularly stressful. You want changes... now! But changes are either not what you expect or they don't come at all. After age 30 things begin to fall into place because you have learned from experience.

That being said, You have sun in Taurus, moon in scorpio and venus in Gemini. You are a loyal, hard working person who loves the good things in life. You can be flirtatious in love and may be a bit more platonic than passionate.

He has sun in libra (a good match for you Gemini venus), venus in virgo (an excellent match for both your sun and moon). He is friendly and charismatic who is loyal in love and has many friends.

If I had your birth times I could see what is on the cusps of each of your 7th hosues - the house of marriage, but even with just your planets, it looks very encouraging.

20877: 4-18-1970, 4:19 a.m., Charlotte, N.C.: Been dating a guy who is really nice, but not the one, after a long string of really "not the ones." Pretty content by myself, but am watching all my friends get married and wondering if/when I will encounter my lifemate. Do the stars hold any insight in regard to this?

Charlene Lichtenstein: Let's see, you have sun in aries, moon in virgo and venus in taurus. You are a pioneering person, a self-starter and a strong soul. You are loyal and giving in love and of yourself. You deserve someone who can return your devotion and care.

I think you have Pisces rising which places virgo on the cusp of your relationship house.Transiting Pluto has been squaring this house so there may be some transfornations in this area f your life for the next few years. In addition, with Saturn in taurus for the past couple of years, your venus (lovelife) has been on the receiving end of hard lessons and caused bouts of doubt. No more.

Starting on APril 4th or so - Saturn moves into gemini and begins to make a good aspect to your sun. This frees you to pursue your mission in life. ANd the sun enters your own sign on March 21st which gives you extra optimism and energy.

There may still be some surprises with Pluto, but your love life will become a little more optimistic in April. Get out there and look!

Ajax, (ontario) Canada: Hi "Madam"

I am a male born June 30, 1952. Could you tell me what are the prospects for job and money in the next months? Thanks. JPD

Charlene Lichtenstein: Let's see your planets:

You have sun (personality) in cancer, moon (emotions) in libra, mercury (thoughts) in cancer, venus (love) in cancer and mars (action) in scorpio. If I had your time of birth, I could see what is on the cusp of your career hosue (10th house) but I will work with just your planets for now.

With all that Cancer in your chart, the time to act is before the 21st while the sun is still in pisces - it is making a good aspect to all your cancerian natal planets and your mars, which makes things happen.

After that, you can expect some great ideas from transiting mercury which enters pisces on MArch 18 and is there until APril 7. I would put out energy through the rest of March.

Bethesda, Md.: I was born 8/30/64 at 10:00 pm. I'm very unhappy in my job but unfortunately have become so specialized I don't know how to break out of the field I'm in, which I hate. I really want to find something soon. Do you see me moving on any time in the next few months? Thanks.

Charlene Lichtenstein: I would like to see what is on the cusp of your 10th house of career.

You have sun in virgo, moon in gemini, mercury in virgo (great sense of duty....) , venus in cancer, mars in cancer (enjoy working in family groups - hard to break free). Possibly taurus rising which places aquarius on the cusp of your 10th house.

Aquarius is a fixed sign and is a great conceptual thinker. You need to have a career where you can expand your knowledge and work independently.

You may feel stymied now because task master Saturn, the planet of low self-confidence is transiting your first hosue of new beginnings and has been for about two years. However - good news - Saturn moves on in APril and you may begin to feel the release around that time.

Mercury (planet of communication) will move into your house of friends and large groups on March 18 - ask around, join a group in a field where you think you may want to go. It is an excellent time to planet seeds.

Keep in touch and let me know how it goes.

Washington, D.C.: Hi Charlene,

I love these weekly chats! Please, please answer my question tonight ... I've submitted it many times during the past few months. What does the next 12 months hold for me ... particularly in terms of my marriage and career? I'm a Libra, born 10:56 a.m., near Washington (Frederick, MD), on 10-23-1950.

Mary E.

Charlene Lichtenstein: Dear Mary,
Thank you for your patience.

So let's see - you have sun in libra, mercury in libra, venus in libra and mars in sagittarius. Possibly Sag rising.

I see you as a happy go lucky type person - charismatic, charming and very friendly. You may lack perseverence (ahem...) and follow through.

Well, transformative pluto is transiting Sagittarius now which conjuncts your mars (This means that your actions may have transforming impact on your life and change the landscape). It is transitng the house that rules the beginning of things. ANything new will be dramatic for a while.

You have gemini on the cusp of your house of marriage (7th) and Saturn, the planet of lessons will be entering that hosue within the next couple of months. Your love life may have its challenges or it can also mean that you meet someone older, wiser and/or wealthier. Let's hope for the latter!

Once the sun moves into Aries on the 21st, career prospects can go forward - the sun was oppositie your careerhosue while in pisces and you might have put home life ahead of professional opportunities.

The secret of astrology is to use the energy of the planets to make your fate. This seems like a good time to set foundations.

Reston, Va.: Birthdate :04/12/72
Time : Around 2:00 am in Bombay, India

What do you see in the future career, family life?

Charlene Lichtenstein: You are in the middle of your Saturn Return - a three year period of transformation from ages 27-30. Read more about it at www.AccessNewAge.com/zscope

You have sun and mercury in aries and venus and mars in gemini - lots of energy and optimism. You need to develop stamina. You may have Aquarius rising, but my ascendant charts are for the US eastern time zones so it may be off a bit. Since you are in VA now, let's use it as a solar return chart which can help you each birthday to plan ahead.

So this year, there may be challenges in your home life as Saturn transits in taurus. But things will start to look up in APril when the stern teacher moves into gemini and sparks your creativity.

Friends and large social groups will be energizing and transforming so it may be a good time to become more involved in a group project or club.

Love? Jupiter is conjuncting your venus - the planet of love. Big things that may sweep you away. But Saturn as it enters gemini will bring you back to earth - which is good.

Good luck in your endeavors - let me know how the year goes.

Deep South: Charlene--

Thanks, thanks, thanks! Please use Los Angeles for Southern California. I'll be watching for it in the future but I'll be reading your chat no matter what.

Charlene Lichtenstein: Okay. Thanks.
We'll talk next Monday night about it.

Alexandria, Va.: Hi Charlene,
What do you see for a female born 12/29/68 in Brooklyn, N.Y. around 11:00 am? I have a hard time trying to decide what I want to do in life and how to stay motivated. Is there something strange in my chart because Capricorns are supposedly extremely self motivated. Love your show. Thank you
Confused

Charlene Lichtenstein: You have sun and mercury (thoughts) in capricorn, venus in aquarius and mars in libra. Possibly Pisces/Aries rising which places transitng pluto hovering over your hosue of career.
Oh no wonder! For the past few years, transforming, volcanic Pluto has been throwing you so many professional curve balls that even a staid and steady cap is wont to get confused. This will go on for a while, so I suggest that you learn to go with the flow and see where the tide takes you.

If the sag energy is on the top of your chart, you need to seek a career that brings you into contact with new exotic and interesting people. Travel is highlighted as is higher education or law. If cap is on the cusp of your 10th hosue, you like the prestige and status a high powered career gives you. It may take you longer to achieve but achieve you will!

Give yourself some time to test waters. Believe it or not, it is never too later to discover what really excites you professionally.

Somewhere, USA: Born in Kuwait, 6.29/73, 11 a.m. (Yes, I know, I know, Saturn Return. Tell me about it).

Everything is strange, uncertain, directionless, including work, romance (or lack of it), living arrangement etc. Do I buy a house like I want to? Do I change jobs? Do instead use my money to travel?

Insight please.

Charlene Lichtenstein: This question has slipped in at the very end and it needs to be addressed -

My advice, for what it's worth, is that since things begun during the Saturn Return tend not to last, it may not be a great idea to set firm foundations like buying a house, unless of course you don't mind moving a few times before you really settle in.

Change jobs? Sure - why not. But you may change a few times in the next couple of years. Travel? Hey I'm a Sagittarian - the sign of travel. I suggest that you should continue to ousrue your dreams - don't put anything on hold, but expect changes, changes, changes. Go witht he flow, learn all you can and most importantly - don't give up hope or fall into despair. If you are really lucky, you get three Saturn Returns in one lifetime - to age 84!

And once you turn 30, you'll have it all together. Pacing is everything!

Charlene Lichtenstein: Such wonderful questions! But we have run out of time.

Thank you all for your great questions and great patience.
Please join me next week at 7pm Monday, March 19 (just before the Vernal Equinox) for another Starry Eye Astrology.
